What are the steps of building a website?
1. Choose and register a domain name. This is the name that users will type into their browser to get to your Website’s home page. This domain name should reflect your company’s name or purpose.
2. Determine what the content will be for your site, which pages you will include on your site, and what the goal of each page will be. Existing marketing material can be implemented and is often encouraged.
3. Pull together ideas for the look and feel of your site. Choose the colors you would like to see on your site; maybe something that coordinates with an existing logo. This is the time to begin thinking about what you would like to see on your home page, the type of content, images, etc. Nailing down some of these details will allow us to begin work on the layout and design of your website.
4. Following your approval of the final design, we will begin incorporating text and images on your site. This is when you’ll begin to see your pages come together.
5. Next we will launch your site. You will need to secure a web hosting service, which is a service we offer. See our Hosting page.
